Terms of Service

CoStartups (costartups.app) is a professional network for founders, engineers, and operators building in artificial intelligence. It is operated by Northbrik Systems LTD(Companies House 17184680).

We may add, change, or remove features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance or incidents may affect availability.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.

Accounts are for individuals, not shared logins. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure. Tell us immediately at legal@costartups.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

We may review applications and refuse or remove accounts that do not meet our membership criteria or that breach these terms.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-export data without written permission
• Upload malware, attempt unauthorised access, or disrupt the service
• Use CoStartups for unsolicited spam or deceptive outreach
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose under UK law

We may remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts that violate this section without prior notice where necessary to protect users or the platform. See our Acceptable Use Policy for the full rules.

You retain ownership of content you submit (profile text, posts, comments, images). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and promote CoStartups.

You confirm you have the rights to upload your content and that it does not violate these terms or third-party rights.

Other members may see content you mark as public on the network. Do not post confidential information you are not permitted to share.

CoStartups is a networking platform. Listings, profiles, and posts do not constitute legal, financial, or employment advice or guarantees. Users are responsible for their own due diligence and legal compliance when collaborating, hiring, or partnering with others on the platform.

Profiles and posts may link to external websites. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.

You may stop using the service at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting legal@costartups.app.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if continued provision poses risk to the network. On termination, your right to use the service ends. Sections that by nature should survive (including liability limits) will continue to apply.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or that any particular outcome (hiring, cofounding, or partnerships) will result from use of the platform.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Subject to the above, Northbrik Systems LTD is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, loss of profit, data, or goodwill arising from your use of CoStartups. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of £100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (currently zero for free accounts).

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights if you are using the service as a consumer outside the UK.
