Working at CoStartups
CoStartups is operated by Northbrik Systems LTD. We work remotely across the UK and Europe, with occasional in-person meetups when the community gathers. We are a small team, which means every person has a significant surface area of ownership and a direct line to the product decisions that shape what we ship.
We value clear writing, thoughtful product decisions, and shipping work that members actually use. We do not value output for its own sake, meetings that should be documents, or process that exists to justify headcount. If you want to move fast inside a small team building serious infrastructure, this is the right kind of place.
What we look for
- Deep craft. We care about the quality of what we ship, not just whether it ships. Engineers who take pride in correctness, designers who sweat the small details, and writers who know the difference between a sentence that works and one that almost works.
- Context about AI startups. You do not need to have founded a company, but you should understand the workflows of people who have. Hiring, fundraising, cofounding, and building a technical team are the problems our members are solving every day.
- Good judgment under uncertainty. We do not have a specification for every decision. We expect people to hold the mission in mind and make calls that a thoughtful person would be proud of later.
- Written communication. We are a remote team and a written-first culture. Clear asynchronous communication is not a soft skill here: it is how the work gets done.
Open roles
We do not have public openings listed at the moment. When roles open, they will appear here and on our jobs board.
We are especially interested in hearing from product engineers with experience in Next.js, TypeScript, and Supabase; designers with a background in dense information products; and community operators who understand the early-stage startup ecosystem in the UK or Europe.
How to express interest
Send a short note to careers@costartups.app with your LinkedIn or GitHub profile, anything relevant you have shipped, and a paragraph on what you would want to work on at CoStartups and why. We do not need a formal cover letter. We do need enough context to understand what you care about and whether there is a fit.
We read every message and reply when there is a current or anticipated opening to discuss. If you do not hear back, it means there is no fit right now, not that we did not read it.
